Come and learn about illustrating for graphic novels and sci-fi comics with Tanja Wooten an illustrator, comic book artist and product concept artist (toys and holiday) currently residing in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This seminar workshop is for teens and adults.

Tanja's has a BFA from the University of North Texas and an AAA from the Art Institute of Dallas. She received the 2014 SCBWI The Bologna Illustrator Gallery Honor Award for Dragon World.

Recent projects include art for the 2013 Harvey Award nominated comic anthology, Womanthology: Space (IDW), an all ages Gothic comic collaboration, illustrations for a MG sci-fi book, and a sci-fi comic mini-series adaptation. She is the featured artist for the Emergent Arts/Garland County Library Art Wall for the month of April and May.

Tanja is also a YA graphic author and states, “I’ve had the opportunity to meet many different people from all walks of life because I grew up as an Air Force Brat, and then later traveled as an internet and software consultant/UI designer for my job — about 11 countries and 26 North American states! Those experiences have given me a great appreciation and creative interest in different cultures and unique stories."
