How to Write Short Stories for Children: A Workshop for New Writers from 18–80
Whether your goal is to write stories that will become your family's treasures, or whether you dream of putting in the years of blood, sweat, and re-writes to become a published author, this workshop will introduce you to skills that will help you write engaging short stories that youngsters will love. Come with an idea of a story you want to write, and leave with a good start on a first draft.
Dr. M.C. (Millie) Gore is Professor Emeritus from Midwestern State University, a writer whose books are shelved on over a thousand libraries around the world, and an authority on the J.R.R. Tolkien and J. K. Rowling canons, having taught and presented academic papers on the canons at international conferences. She is certified in federal court as an expert witness on the effects of literature on children from diverse groups. She is the co-author of All Is Assuredly Well selected as a Kirkus Best Book of 2018.
