Call to Artists
Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance (HSACA), the City of Hot Springs Art Advisory Committee (AAC) and Hot Springs Parks and Trails (HSP&T) are collectively producing this outdoor exhibition of paintings, drawings, and/or photographs reproduced onto metal panels to be displayed along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail as part of the Art Moves outdoor art exhibition. The opening of Art Moves marks the beginning of Hot Springs’ Arts & The Park 10-day arts festival, and the exhibition remains on public display throughout the year.
The 2025 Arts & The Park: Artventurous festival will focus on the adventurous nature of art.
Art Moves “Artventurous” asks artists to submit work that reflects the theme, highlighting the adventurous side of art, where risk-taking and remarkable experiences intersect with art. Applicants are encouraged to let their creativity soar, so visitors to the outdoor art exhibition travel down an excitingly imaginative path.
A panel of jurors will select up to 25 works of art from the submissions for the ART MOVES: Artventurous exhibition. The selected artwork will be reproduced onto metal signs that will be displayed along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail. Area galleries will display the framed original artworks during the 10-day Arts & The Park celebration. A QR code will be attached to each work displayed along the trail, this code will link directly to the artist bio and statement about the piece on the HSACA website.

Art Ownership Clarification
HSACA will not, for example, use the artists’ images on mugs, tote bags, etc., to sell to the public without express permission from the artist. Images of selected art will be used on flyers and advertisements. HSACA owns the reproductions displayed along the trail and will sell those pieces in a silent auction during Spring 2026 at the Arts & The Park festival. Artists are welcome to bid on the reproductions with the general public. HSACA is a registered nonprofit; all proceeds from the sale of exhibition reproductions are used to fund subsequent Art Moves Exhibition works.
