About me:
It is an absolute pleasure to meet you!
My name is Tara Arikawe and I am a second generation American citizen, artist, writer, and analyst. Drawing on the depths of my emotions with watercolour, digital, and poetry has been an exhilarating journey. I have created artwork and written short stories since childhood, and received my certification for design in 2022.
My work has been created in and inspired by the American South, Midwest, and Pacific Northwest. The striking mountains of Nevada, the mysterious pine forests of Oregon, the exquisite autumns of Arkansas, the vast skies of Texas, and the dazzling winters of Missouri have been catalysts for creativity.
Everything I create is designed to transcend joy. I hope to elicit elation, encourage expression, cultivate communication, capture curiosity, and ignite impact. Utilising colour, shape, and typography has allowed me to add my heart to the story of America.
