About me:
Sharon Dumas and her husband Chuck Dumas live in a rural area near Hot Springs, Arkansas with a dog and several rabbits. Sharon earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in the mid-1960s. After retirement and moving to Arkansas, Sharon began taking refresher courses in Portraiture, Landscape, and Advanced Painting from locally recognized artists, Ovita Goosby and Thad Flennigan.
Sharon loves doing portrait art especially of animals. Sharon has been rescuing domestic rabbits for over 22 years and when not doing commission work she loves to paint her rabbits in whimsical and unexpected surroundings. Sharon’s portraits have been displayed in many venues in Hot Springs and she was a finalist in the 2012 Diamond National Art Exhibit and the 2013 Regional Art Show sponsored by the Fine Arts Center of Hot Springs.
