Artist Bio:
Born in Shanghai, China, Longhua came to the US as an exchange professor. He quickly acclimated to life here in America.
Selected by the citizens of Hot Springs to create the iconic Mother Nature, his art has become an integral part of the Arkansas landscape. He was named 2019 Arkansas Living Treasure.
Artist Statement:
Imagine what lies beneath the ocean? This painting attempts to capture the childlike imagination of the animals under the sea, in the air, and even the rabbit in the moon and how they all live in the world in harmony. The year of the rabbit end in February on Chinese New Year.
