Artist Bio:
Isaac Helguera of Olinala, Guerrero, Mexico, is an oil-based artist, passionate about supporting and spreading the love of art in the US and abroad. He has exhibited in galleries, museums, universities, and other venues. Maestro Helguera has won many titles for Best in Show, People’s Choice and First Place.
He continues to teach and share his artistic pursuit in Conway, Arkansas where he currently has Pinturas Helguera LLC, Art by Isaac, The Gallery, with his partner and teacher, Ana.
Artist Statement:
Frida, Puro Corazon, inspired me to showcase my painting of this famous woman artist that has made a big impression on the art world. I captured Frida Kahlo using my own technique, passing on the culture from my Mexican roots and heritage.
