About me:
I eat sleep and breathe art. I teach ceramics and fused glass at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts, and glass casting at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in Little Rock. I also have a full ceramics and glass studio at my home in Hot Springs. This is usually where you will find me on the weekends and in the wee hours of the morning.
I have worked with just about every art material imaginable including painting, metal, wood, fibers, ceramics, stone… but glass is what truly holds my interest and inspires me every single day. I’m a little obsessed.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Missouri State University and a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University. I am currently pursuing a research PhD online from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, focused on chemical color and heat reactivity in kiln-formed glass.
