Artist Bio:
Hot Springs native Laura Blue Waters has lived in Ethiopia, Romania, Turkey, and China making and teaching art. Blue Waters Fine Art and Design is her gallery which is currently open for Friday Night Gallery Walk and by appointment. The focus of her work is spiritual connections between people and life in the natural world.
Artist Statement:
George Hunt’s art and Henry Glover’s music served as my inspiration. The repetition of phrases in the Blues and staccato notes of jazz mimic the patterns in African fabrics, which are collaged amongst the painted people pieces.
