Jamie Craddock-Johnson is a self-taught artist who works primarily with watercolors and ink, but has begun exploring mixed media. She lives in Gilbert, Arkansas and owns the Buffalo River Art Gallery.
Artist Statement:
This is a mixed media piece that is collage, acrylics and some metallics and it’s a great symbol of women supporting and lifting up women. When I paint, the world around me goes away and I am totally at peace with myself – this is why I paint. I love to look at a photograph of a person and try to interpret and tell their story through my painting. I also want to push the boundaries of what people consider beautiful and show that we all are beautiful in our own light
