Artist Bio:
Marietta Tucker is a self taught artist living in Hot Springs, Arkansas. As a watercolor artist, she find inspiration in the versatility of the medium.
Marietta enjoys painting many of the colorful sites in and around Hot Springs.
Her work is often characterized by intricate details highlighting the interplay of light and texture.
She is a Signature member of
Mid Southern Watercolorists. Along with several local art awards, her work has been selected twice for the William Lewis Memorial Award in the Mid Southern Watercolorist’s Annual Exhibition.

Artist Statement:
I created this watercolor painting to capture the adventurous spirit of thoroughbred racing where raw power, speed, and risk collide. By using many layers of vibrant watercolor pigments and dramatic dark contrast, I hoped to pull the viewer directly into the heart of competition.
