Art Moves: Creative Roots
An outdoor art exhibition installed along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail.
Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance, the City of Hot Springs Art Advisory Committee and Hot Springs Parks and Trails collectively produce the annual Art Moves outdoor exhibition which is made up of paintings, drawings, and/or photographs reproduced onto metal panels and displayed along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail.
Visitors can walk the Hot Springs Creek Greenway trail between Hollywood Avenue and Belding Street to enjoy this outdoor art exhibition.
Art Moves: Art and Soul focuses on the “why” and “how” of art and what art does beyond bringing aesthetic enjoyment. Each original work has been reproduced onto 30″ x 40″ metal sheets for outdoor viewing. Attached to each piece is a scannable QR code that links to the corresponding artist statement detailing, in their own words, what art does for each artist and why they create.
The 2023 exhibition has expanded to 20 pieces, in addition to the 15 works located along the trail between Belding St. and Hollywood Ave, there are also two installations in Hollywood Park and three at the adjacent Rotary Centennial Trailhead at Hollywood Ave.
The exhibition is free and open to the public through next spring.
