Artist Bio:
Marcus Vasquez considers himself a painter but likes to try new things by experimenting with different forms of creative outlets and various mediums. He is inspired by personal experiences and likes to incorporate humor in his work where possible. Marcus was born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He received his BFA in painting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2018. Marcus has completed several public and private murals in Arkansas.
Artist Statement:
This digital painting is of me as a young boy, watching my dad work on an art piece. The image was taken from a home video. In all parts of life, he has continued to be the kind of father, husband, and person I strive to be.
